Yoga is a way to bring balance and tranquility into your life.  Yoga teaches control of the body and quiets the mind through specific movements coordinated with breathing.  In these classes, students learn how to reduce stress while increasing muscle strength and flexibility.  The student learns to develop a healthier lifestyle while having fun at the same time.

Beginning/Series I Class
Introduces the student to the de la Ferriere system of yoga.  Includes introductions to psychophysicals, cold shower, conscious relaxation, jnana yoga and Series I asanas.  Handouts detailing the practices are given for use at home.  Study topics introduce the student to the basic elements of a healthy, active life.
Suitable to all levels of students.
Series II Class
Builds upon knowledge and experiences obtained in Beginner and Series I classes.  The student more deeply studies the relationship of the body and mind.  Basic abstinences are attained at this level.  Complete Series I and II are practiced, including inversions.  The stretching and bending series is gradually introduced.
Prerequisite - Must have completed Series I class and approval of instructor to register.
